Childrens Martial Arts Competition

Phoenix Martial Arts in Swindon proudly participated in the first-ever GTI Junior Open competition for under-18s, held on June 2, 2024, in Cheltenham. This event provided an excellent platform for 17 members of Phoenix Martial Arts to test their skills against national-level competitors, many for the first time.

The young athletes from Swindon showcased their talents admirably, bringing home an impressive haul of medals. Five members won gold medals, demonstrating their exceptional skill and dedication. Additionally, four members secured silver medals, and another four earned bronze in individual events, highlighting the depth of talent within the team.

The competition also featured team events, where Phoenix Martial Arts continued to excel, earning six more silver medals. Competing against almost 200 participants from across the country, the squad’s achievements were a testament to their hard work and the high-quality training they receive.

This remarkable performance at the GTI Junior Open not only showcased the technical abilities of Phoenix Martial Arts’ members but also underscored the benefits of martial arts in building confidence and competitive spirit among young practitioners. It was a proud moment for the Swindon Martial Arts community, reflecting the dedication and skill of both students and instructors.
